President Donald Trump declared that anyone who says “artificial intelligence” (AI) instead of “super intelligence” is the enemy. He didn’t elaborate, but the White House still uses the older term.
A September 29 executive order already told federal agencies to say “super intelligence,” or SI. It carried no penalty and does not bind private companies.
Is the White House Following Its Own Rule?
“The White House considers anyone that uses the term, ‘Artificial Intelligence,’ as opposed to the highly accepted new and more accurate term, ‘Super Intelligence,’ THE ENEMY!”

However, the White House science office website still refers to artificial intelligence. Truth Social’s own search tool, meanwhile, carries the label Truth Search AI.
Super intelligence traditionally means a hypothetical system that outthinks humans, a distinction, and it seems this rebrand blurs that line.
In contrast, Elon Musk is adopting the new vocabulary. Musk said on X on October 4 that SpaceXAI, the SpaceX unit behind the Grok chatbot, will become SpaceXSI.

The unit took the SpaceXAI name in July after SpaceX absorbed xAI. The new name would arrive less than three months later, and Musk gave no date.
Did Anyone Profit From the .si Rush?
The abbreviation SI also matches .si, the web suffix of Slovenia, where first lady Melania Trump was born. Slovenia’s registry logged 46,066 new .si domains in September.
Crypto investor Adam Cochran claimed on X that Trump insiders profited from early purchases. BeInCrypto reported theinsider claims.
Trump floated renaming AI in a Truth Social poll on September 19. Cybersecurity firm Netcraft tracked .si registrations at registrar Dynadot between that poll and his United Nations speech.
However, no public record ties the buyers to Trump or his family. A presidential word choice has now reached domain markets and corporate branding. No rule compels private companies to follow, and OpenAI and Anthropic still use the older term.
