TL;DR: OSL Group has tokenized the USDGO Plus SP fund on-chain and is providing custody and distribution through its licensed Hong Kong platform. The product is a market-neutral digital asset fund built around USDGO and is available only to eligible professional investors.

Tokenization is moving from simple Treasury products into more complex investment strategies.

OSL Group announced Thursday that it has been engaged by digital asset technology company 2WA to bring PrimePlus SPC – USDGO Plus SP on-chain and provide the custody and distribution infrastructure around the fund.

The product is a market-neutral digital asset strategy built around USDGO.

According to the companies, it is the first market-neutral fund structured around the stablecoin.

OSL is responsible for tokenizing the fund units and also acts as the licensed platform through which eligible professional investors in Hong Kong can access the product.

The underlying USDGO held by the fund is also custodied with OSL.

That combination is important because tokenization on its own does not automatically make a fund easier for regulated investors to use.

The legal fund structure, custody, investor eligibility, subscriptions and redemptions still have to work around the token.

OSL is effectively providing that bridge.

Eligible investors can subscribe to and redeem from the strategy through OSL’s Hong Kong application, while the fund units themselves are represented on-chain.

The investment strategy is designed to remain market neutral rather than simply tracking crypto prices.

That places it in a different category from the spot Bitcoin and Ethereum products that have dominated institutional digital asset adoption.

Market-neutral funds typically attempt to generate returns from spreads, funding rates, basis trades and other relative-value opportunities while limiting directional exposure to the underlying asset.

In theory, that makes the product more attractive to investors who want crypto-market yield without making a straightforward bet on whether Bitcoin or Ethereum rises.

The on-chain structure then adds another layer.

Tokenized fund units can make ownership and settlement easier to integrate with digital asset infrastructure, particularly for investors already using stablecoins.

Hong Kong has become one of the more active testing grounds for that model.

The city’s regulatory framework has allowed licensed trading, custody and tokenization businesses to develop around professional and, in some cases, retail investors.

OSL is one of the firms trying to turn that framework into actual financial products.

There is still an important distinction between putting a fund on-chain and decentralizing it.

USDGO Plus SP remains a professionally managed investment product with eligibility restrictions and regulated service providers.

The blockchain changes how parts of the product are represented and serviced. It does not remove the fund structure.

That may actually be the point.

Institutional tokenization is increasingly less interested in replacing the legal financial system and more interested in making existing products operate through digital rails.

OSL’s latest fund is another example of that shift.
